Description: This is the entrance to one of the deepest stations of the New York City's Transit System. (I did not use flash - the light is coming from the sun just outside the entrance since someone opened the door as I took this shot.)
For all the light it still looks a bit foreboding and I think my claustrophobia would take over. But it's a brilliant shot dear Rosa - taking the viewer deeply into this image...for better or worse.
Interesting that you mention claustrophobia since I have walked through this tunnel and I'm claustrophobic as well yet I have never felt it. (I think my fear of rats probably overrides it!) There is also a token booth at the end of this tunnel so I keep my eyes focused on it. I guess in a way it's the "light" at the end of this tunnel. Thank you my friend for your wonderful comment.
