Description: This acrylic painting on canvas mainly represents a special feeling and sense of new beginnings when two people reunite. One of my favorite painters, Yves Tanguy, helped to inspire this painting. One of my beliefs is that a work of art does not have to be complicated to provide a complicated feeling or state of mind, that sometimes simple is better.
This painting is not complex but contains a few symbolic nuances. One of these implications is a smiling or laughing face in the shades of the red landscape, where the yellow tree on the right is protruding from it. Another symbolic gesture is the two trees in the foreground being connected to each other. They are rising from the ground as if they used to be separated and now are joined together in union, continuing to grow together once again. This represents you meeting up with a friend or family member and never thought you would see them again in your life. It could also be an encounter with a lover that you thought the flame had burnt out on and it happens to last longer than it did the first time around. It is always a great feeling to be re-connected with someone, or even some thing that you had lost and you have now been reunited with. The trees in the foreground represent this main idea of the painting.
