Lianne, I do believe we're still connected to loved ones that we've lost through what we loved in them and how it carries on in us and our lives, thanks for sharing your art and interest, I'm constantly learning from it.

A beautiful and well done piece and the 'My dear Sarah' is just heart-wrenchingly beautiful. You have done it again, my friend! I love the lines of text softly placed in the sky! Thank you for including the youtube.com reference as well.

Very moving,terrific history!!:)

Posted by lianne on June 22, 2012

Yes, I thought the struggle that must go on inside a man or woman torn between two ideals, two loves needed an outlet. I'm not thrilled to be making art out of war but the letter made it worthwhile. Thank you Andy.

Lianne, I have always loved the passion in this letter. And so well written, speaking of a love few people find. Your artwork to accompany it is both beatufiul and painful. I love the letter copied beneath the art. So touching and yet a harsh reminder of the civil war and the lives it took and those it freed.

Posted by lianne on June 20, 2012

Thank you so much dear Ramon - as I've said to Fred - there are still men and women willing to make this sacrifice. I don't know that I could. But the love of which he speaks IS something I can relate to and the hope of reunion and lingering presence so beautifully expressed that I wanted to pay tribute to that most of all. xoxox

A very moving letter; I find it hard to relate to personally, but I admire such faith. For me, the image speaks of the making of history... the words written in the sky...

Posted by lianne on June 20, 2012

I understand the difficulty relating Fred - yet there are still so many men and women willing to make this sacrifice for what they believe in. And the thing about history is...as the old saying goes...if we do not remember it and learn from it, we are condemned to repeat it. One only has to look at the evening news to know that's true. Thank you for your lovely supportive comment Fred. xo
