Description: Never give up hope.
When I was 15 years old my father bought me a 1965 Chevy SS Convertible for 200.00. We restored it together. My job during tune up time was to gap the spark plugs and I carried the metal gapper on my keychain since I was 15. One year after restoring the car my father died, Twenty years ago during financial difficulties, I sold her. There was never a day passed that I did not think of that car. The day I retired my spark plug gapper from my key chain was the day I seen this from my front porch. April 19th, 2012. Hope came home after 20 years just as I last seen her. So this is why I say, never give up hope.
What a nice story! The only thing that I have ever had on my key-chain is a little flashlite. I have it there should I ever have car trouble on the road at night. If I have to leave the vehicle and wander into the woods looking for help- I have the flashlite. And I can use the flashlite, say- to look for nightcrawlers under logs to eat and on a cave wall to make shadow puppets to keep me entertained and not lose my mind as the days and nights drift agonizingly by. I guess, when the batteries wear out…I’ll just return to the car and call AAA for help.
Lol, she is not. She is in the process of being restored. My husband took out the interior this week. Took the top off and all the trim. Took off the front grill, seats, door panels and we will start the restoration. We did not get the dash out yet. We want to take the body off the frame. I get to help with the fun parts of body work and sanding. So "hope" is naked.
