I was going to do this really intricately, but after I got the ideas together I thought the cloud would translate better with charcoal. I need to do something less concentrated every so often. That's how the tranquility II drawing came about also. I'm also hoping to get better with charcoal, I think I need different paper.
I agree, something would have been lost had you gotten more intricate with this piece, while your more intensive approach was perfect for the striped shirt drawing ... I find this works really well, but certainly it is fun to try different kinds of paper!
I'm glad you like it in its current form. As I continued it I could feel that the style gave off a sense of delicacy blended with the expressive cloud area. Thank you for taking the time to look and especially for commenting.

Thanks Kevin. I didn't execute the idea exactly how I envisioned it, and but it still came out pretty good.

Excellent piece; definitely looser than your usual style, and very expressive!

Thanks Lianne I had a stock pose that I wanted to use but couldn't find an idea then I saw a rocket smoke trail and the idea clicked.
