Hey Diane - this is so stark and luscious all at once. An artful conjuring trick of so much conveyed with such an economy of visual means. Is this an inviting place or a slightlyl forbidding one? That's the engaging nature of this image - the dramatic question you raise, for me at least. Inviting or slightly forbidding as this place may be, it is without question a gorgeous - and inviting - piece of art.
