ohh Rosie, this is Gorgeous! so love the colors and light... the capture of those spectacular birds is fantastic. Never saw those... at least, none here. love-love....
Aimelle- we have them in their thousands along here- they come to feed by our home in the daytime, and have massive nests nearby where they take harbour for the night. They are related to the Spoonbill, which we only get the white ones here... and it has been a challenge to capture the beauty of the Ibis. They are generally shy, and surprisingly fast flyers, not like the Pelicans.. these fellas are very used to me stalking them now with my big lens... :) I have some other captures and details about the symbolism of this bird in my WIP..if you get the time.. http://groups.bluecanvas.com/WORK-IN-PROGRESS/forum/post/2045/page/14

Hullo Joann- :))- we have so many avian neighbors and borders...our house nests several families of various smaller birds, while the shore holds so many more nesting grounds for waterfowl. I find it not so easy to leave home...I was raised to really connect with birds, so I am in heaven.. My "Doorstep" series started over a year ago now, and refers to shots from this bay area. Thanks so much xxx
