H&W Titanic Telephone Exchange
The Titanic Drawing Office
Harland & Wolff Shipyard
Queens Island
Belfast
Behind this window was the two line telephone exchange in the Titanic Drawing Office at Harland & Wolff ship builders in Belfast
It was to here that first word got back regarding the sinking of the ship. The messenger boy waited at this window to take messages to other parts of the Titanic shipyard of the tragic fate of the greatest ship in the world.
Immediately above were the offices of Lord Pirrie the Chairman and Thomas Andrews the architect of the Titanic.
