Description: The “Touch” series is a raw, evocative and unflinching autobiographical glimpse through fine art photography into the secret, everyday life of a young woman at the height of her struggle with BPD. The series seeks to explore how notions of trust, mistrust, love, hate, need and fear are all interconnected and expressed through physical and emotional means of touch. By modeling for the photographs myself, I'm striving to give authenticity to the maddening and paradoxical impulses and emotions (the up and down, “fight or flight,” idealization and devaluation, aggression and childlike vulnerability), from the fragmented perspective of a BPD sufferer.
