Since first hearing Damien Rice's "The Blower's Daughter", I was utterly taken with it. A man obsessed with a woman, his every thought, riveted, completely taken by her. And then, the twist at the end where we find that the depth of his devotion was about as deep as a puddle. An age old scenario that seems destined to eternally repeat--A woman placed aloft a high pedestal only to be brutally discarded by a fickle heart. And so it is…for each muse.
