Description: I think it refreshing that Hanna does not believe in religion and is at ease with life. I thought that maybe this is why it is so easy for her to kill, to be decisive, to accept. She does not consider eternity and the suffering or joy it presents, only the present, what she wants, and how to get it.
She is shooting herself in the image because I was attempting to evoke the idea that she is considerate only of herself when deciding what she will do. She is not influenced by others and if she wanted to shoot herself, she would without hesitation. I was also trying to do a visual satire for the assumption that your soul is dead if you follow no religion. I think life alone is enough to believe in.
