Hi Elizabeth! Thanks for the high praise and compliment! There is a lot of symbolism in all (or at least most) of my work. I like that the viewer can then interpret each work through their own lived cultural experience. It is rare that I disclose or discuss the meaning and or all of the symbolism employed in my work! That will come later...I suppose! =))!
I enjoyed reading your description about what you are wanting to convey. The symbolic references are a real treat to discover. A person could see new elements everyday for weeks on end ! Those blue birds look like they

Was really, really hard to decide through your artworks cause all have some magic, but this is my favourite #1. Well done Jethro!!
Thanks for such kind words Leo! It is one of my current favorite children=)! I am working on this series "Mythology of Allure" and there are several pieces underway but not finished. This one, as many of them are, is surrealistic and symbolic, a mix of metaphor and allegory all together. Glad you like!
