A Whisper in the Breeze
I heard the breeze whisper -
whilst the twigs cracked forevermore ...
so, I waited and wondered.
Doubts and fears began to echo -
as an invisible war raged on ...
the mind and heart its battlefield.
Time for them to disappear -
following a long deep sleep and breath ...
into the night they flew.
I heard the breeze whisper -
whilst the flowers hummed forevermore ...
rest, in my arms, you will.

I drive by a small church when I go to pick apples. These flowers were blooming behind said church on this Spring morning.

Cathy... you just amaze with your Writing.. I sat here re-reading this again several times...even aloud for Mick to enjoy too. What a complex image to post with it too- echoing that battlefield so perfectly...I do hope we get to see you post this to Xpress:) http://groups.bluecanvas.com/BLUE/forum/post/2042

Thank you for the lovelies Rosie, much appreciated. :-) I'm a neophyte where writing is concerned - well, most things. I'm glad you enjoyed.

Cathy this is great work. Nice mix and daffodils always remind me of new life, the spring after the winter.

Thanks so much Ramon for the lovelies, much appreciated. :-) I wasn't sure of the flower type - thanks. They were the only ones in bloom, several bunches scattered around the grounds.
