Oh mate, that's about my speed. Fabulous artwork, and so intricate. It looks awesome when large, and I just keep finding things. Well done, Jethro :D
Hi Neil! =))! Glad you like! This is one of my favorite works, there is lots to it and generally, people find parts that pique their interest! =))!
Holy cow Jethro - this one is setting records for stars!! And no wonder. What a magical, whimsical and yet meaningful piece. I love it!
Had to view it in large, Jethro..such is the elaborated imagery! Somehow it came to my the wonderful "El Bosco"´s Garden of Delights...with some difference. It is the fantsy that is emanating. The freedom. The perfect sense of being where one wants to be, dreaming what ones dreams with complete joy of dreaming. I love it..and probably will have to be back to it more times in order to see contemplate it better. Rosa
Hi Rosa! Many thanks for your kind words and comparison to the honorable Bosch (Bosco)! There IS lots to see in this work, and one CAN revisit it many times before fully seeing ALL there is! =))! So glad you like!!

Amazing piece. Reminds somewhat of Bosch, in the general aesthetic, but I also see other influences, and well as some incredible original concepts all at work. Really cool execution.
Thanks for visiting and commenting! Yes, I can appreciate the Bosch reference, and at the same time not overlook a reference to the constant birth, death and rebirth of all things within a given environment, whether of the natural or imaginary worlds we inhabit. Glad you like!!
Brilliant, amazing design
Glad you like! While an older piece, it remains one of my favorites! It started with finding a scrap piece of metal on Rehobeth beach (the white cat-fish)! =).

Jethro I love this and w9ouyld love to hear a little more about the background to it- please consider this for here:)http://groups.bluecanvas.com/BLUE
Hi Rosie! Thanks for visiting and your invitation! There is a story behind this piece =)! I'll share a short version. The white fish (spoonfish) motif started as a found brass object (key/lock plate) washed up on Rehobeth beach. Once home and in the studio, I used it as the main character in this story about birth, death and rebirth using Mayan and Aztec imagery (cultural and symbolic). Thanks again!=)!!
I love this one, how big is it?
Thanks for asking. It was done on Rives BFK 22 x 30 inches using both wet and dry media. The work began with a found object (the white fish shape), a piece of brass found on Rehobeth beach. From there, my muse took over =). Again, I truly enjoyed viewing your works, so fine! Thanks for the stars, too!
