Description: One of my favorite albums has always been Nirvana "In Utero." So my piece, "Comfort in Being Sad," comes from the song "Frances Farmer Will Have Her Revenge on Seattle." Nirvana was/is a HUGE influence in my life, so I blended my love of the lyrics with a few personal items -- a daruma doll, a teddy bear, a cello girl, and an angel dressed in Klimt patterns. It's an emotional dystopia that I somehow find inviting, a melancholy landscape that is beautiful and feels like home.

very nice....I miss Nirvana...there is no comfort in that...I actually saw them in concert december of 93. It was the best show that i have ever been to.
