Portrait of Guilhermina Suggia – (1885 – 1950) was the great Portuguese cellist who revolutionized the instrument in technique, position and sound. Talking about his temperament involves talking about music because Suggia life is always accompanied by music and cello.
She was one of the first women to make a professional career of playing the cello. She opened professional doors for women cello, until then almost closed…when Suggia was born the cello not generally considered an appropriate instrument for young ladies to play.

Las almas vuelan con su magnetismo especial...y se encuentran en el punto de convergencia de sus aparentemente erráticas energías...Un beso. Rosa

Rosa, this is a great surprise!! When I paint this work, the only thing I wanted was to find a woman that play the cello in order to view well the relationship between body and cello ... and only now found you! How strange is life! I love baroque music, is the only one who can satisfy my baroque soul!
