This is a great piece, Jennifer. All your work resonates psychologically with me, but this one transcends psychology to a spiritual level. There are several layers of metaphor at work here. The girl looking up from the majestic orb she stands upon to a dark sky--a dining room--produces one of those nebulous, "in between" emotions, as I like to call them, which are as difficult to describe as they are to induce. Congratulations on that. Beautiful choice on the dining room. I'm not sure why, but if it were simply a sky or a wall or something else, it wouldn't have worked as well.
