Description: This is a color version of the troll. It was a very, very, very quick watercolor. I was playing around with the idea of trolls for some writing work and I wanted to have on hand a visual while writing.

ewwww... in a good way
Posted by kevinking on March 08, 2013
I had a proctologist say that to me once.
As long as you didn't feel anything warm and moist right after that you are probably ok. I use the term probably loosely. Ewww, bad pun.
I didn't notice...I was too busy wondering why he was pulling my ears and saying- "Giddyup!"
Preposterous! "Giddyup!" is derived from the Queen's english .. he should have said "ooh yeah baby yeah, that's it, ooh c'mon baby" as is the tradition in the Land of Holly where they make such films!

I did, I have to be told in the end to sign them. I always forget.
Trolls are sprang from root and soil, rock and boulder and all things wormy and moldy- all the places that the Angels forgot to tread.
ahhh no wonder I missed him...I forgot to tread here...:P

Really detailed work, incredible!. btw..I like your chop
Posted by kevinking on January 21, 2012
Alli-Oop, what are you from the barrio? You like my chop? Did you mean you like my shop? ;)
no silly... your signature is called "chop" But I like your shop too. ;-)))
but you probably knew that?
My signature is called a chop? No, I have never heard that before. Tell me about the chop Senorita!
Posted by aashton on February 06, 2012
Ok the "chop" is: A seal, in an East Asian context, is a general name for printing stamps and impressions thereof that are used in lieu of signatures in personal documents, office paperwork, contracts, art, or any item requiring acknowledgment or authorship. China, Japan, Taiwan, Korea, and Vietnam currently use a mixture of seals and hand signatures, and increasingly, electronic signatures.
oh... and Gracie wanted to share this...."When my mother had to get dinner for 8 she'd just make enough for 16 and only serve half."
And thanks for the Chop info!

Thank you. I think I did the whole inking and watercoloring in less than two hours.
Posted by dbenoit on December 03, 2011
I agree about the second face.
Posted by morraha on November 30, 2011
Did you know that the way you have drawn this there is a second possible face there?
Posted by kevinking on November 30, 2011
Is that surprise or rage?
Yep. Turn the tip of his chin to a snout, the deep cleft becomes a mouth, that dark "hole/spot/etc" is an eye and the actual "Face" that you drew is just a trollish gobbledy muck of hideousness.
AHA! I see it! How cool is that?
I actually saw that face first. Didn't realize there was another til I read Jake's comment about the lower jaw.
I just missed it I reckon.
Posted by morraha on December 01, 2011
I missed the "real" face for months. :P
Posted by kevinking on December 01, 2011
Don't Pffft me! You are inordinately slobbery when you do that.
Posted by morraha on November 16, 2011
Very earthy. It looks like a wizard was practicing in the forest and sent an ill handled blast towards an old fallen tree.
Posted by kevinking on November 16, 2011
Trolls, in my works, are indeed "earthy".
I'll keep that in mind.
Posted by jakecorrick on October 19, 2011
Amazing design! The teeth and lower jaw concept really help push this one into a great level of creepiness and interest.
Posted by kevinking on October 19, 2011
Why thank you

Posted by karibhaley on August 02, 2011
You quickly did all this detail? Alrighty then!
Posted by kevinking on August 02, 2011
From pencil, ink then watercolour took less than 2 hours. For me that is unheard of. IN comparison, the Gypsy Girl & Grandmother Toad took months.
Posted by karibhaley on September 05, 2011
Very spontaneous and fresh....for a troll..are trolls fresh?
Posted by kevinking on September 06, 2011
No, they're not really fresh. They are too thick for that.
