I work from scratch on a cintique, but 80% of the time use reference image. More often I start with a traditional underpainting. I think I take my traditional training into digital - but who knows. :))
I don't think so, but I've seen so many I may have. For me my venture into digital was through a paint allergy - turns out it was poppy oil, but I sure learnt digital does not mean easy. I'll look up paolorlando's work!!

And what an enchanting forest it is, Zeana! What a wonder-filled work of art.

Do you start with an image and then digitally paint over it, or do you work from scratch?

Have you seen BC artist paolorlando's work yet? He also uses his traditional training in his digital painting work

It's interesting how situations like that can allow us to discover new things

True - like serendipity. At the time it was really sad, but now I'm not sorry.
