Stone History (for Lolz & the curious): Chalcedony, a relative of quartz, occurs in a great variety of colors inlcuding blue, lavender, white, buff (no, not those kinds of buff), light tan, gray, yellow, pink, red or brown. Some of the members within the Chalcedony family include carnelian, sard, plasma, prase, bloodstone, onyx, sardonyx, chrysoprase, mocha stone, thundereggs, agate, flint, chert, jasper, petrified wood, and petrified dinosaur bone just to name a few of the better known varieties (a rival of the bigger gemstone families; mafia wars anyone?). It is considered a sacred stone by Aboriginal (Native) Americans; according to lore it nurtures brotherhood, good will and generosity. It is thought to increase vitality, stamina, endurance, promote stability and emotional balance. Chalcedony is said to alleviate hostility, irritability and melancholy, as well as absorb negative energy and dissipate it.
Don Chalce is a part of a series called Birthstone Bishonen; AKA: 誕生石(たんじょうせき)の美少年(びしょうねん), or Tanjouseki no Bishonen. Essentially, each character is a personification of one of 35 (yes, *35*) of the most popular Birthstones. =ow~= <3

Credits: The majority of the free-use Photoshop brushes and patterns I highlighted throughout the seires are from the interwebs (yay Google!). There are a few that are from deviantART, but I've so many from so many different sources that I don't know who they came from. SORRY!!1 =>_<'''=
But! I did use A LOT of Gimei's { http://gimei.deviantart.com/ } resources. It's kind of obvious once you see 'em. Also take a gander at the rest of their gallery; it's amazing. =>w<= <3
