Hey Colorblind... It was based off of photos I often take. I love to re-emphasize and exaggerate what the camera has the capacity to do: which is lens flaring and distortion of light, etc. I've really dug into Charcoal a lot since college but nothing at this scale till i was a graduate student. Thank so much for your enthusiastic comments!

I DIDNT KNOW IT WAS THIS HUGE WHOOOOOA SO TELL ME ... DIRECT OBSERVATION OR PHOTO REFERENCE ... OR BOTH ? ... BECAUSE I KNOW THIS WOULD TAKE A GOOD LITTLE MINUTE TO DO.... HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN MASTERING CHARCOAL PIECES?
