Description: Color photography
While living in Florida, I also became obsessed with the endless variety of textural gifts found in the Florida strangler fig tree...otherwise known as a banyan tree. To date I have taken over 3,000 photos of these tree trunks and there are so many more shots out there. I just never get tired of the visual plethora. Roots that look like limbs, textures that range from smooth to coarse, lines that dance, sing, strangle, protect, bind, and suggest all kinds of things...to my eye...a sensuous quality I can't ignore.

Yes...thank you for your observation...I find a sensuosity in may aspects of these tree trunks...almost a metaphor for life itself because of the way they are entangled, rooted, small parts of a whole, survivors, and so varied.
