I find the images you have presented to be very disturbing - not that you took the images or even that you show them here - but mostly because this is reality and the images you present show the darket sides of our world - how sad that we live in such a beautiful world - yet something so horrible and tragic can happen right in front of our eyes - and we let it happen - over and over again - most people in this world are not resposible - but those few who are can cause so much pain - if nothing else, your photos cause us all to think. One final thought - the stupid comments by the idiot who made a joke should simply be ignored and not even acknowledged - it only gives him/her another opportunity to show his stupidity - thank you for having the courage to show us what we would probably never want to have to see.
I am overwhelmed at your images of tragedy, it is truly a sad world we live in...I could never understand how anyone can bring themselves to do such horrific things to others... So sad :-(( I wish you peace my friend and to all the souls who have died in vien here.

your photos are disturbing but truly speaks a lot about human life and poverty
But not a damm thing about art- isn't this a site for ART? I don't see any art here, but I do see a soapbox.
I have included a link on this page in my information section to the right on top to a short documentary on Youtube
" Turkish Soup Made With Armenian Bones" interesting to see.
Very powerful! Keep it up! It is amazing what people can do to one another - they don't realize that they are brothers and sisters.
Man is his own worsed enemy! Its a wonder as to how we have not yet terminated our own istance, and still that may happen yet. Looking at these photos there are no words to be able to express the shame, abhoration of such acts, such acts are beyond satininsm. Such acts are beyond reason or understanding of humanity yet they are constantly repeated throughout our existance, will we ever learn the basic message of all mankind is "Peace, Honor, Compassion and Unity".
Parév Aghed!
Wat good feeling, right choice, the exclusive photo of "Dee "Me....And You" in your "collection" !!
All the best to you...Arève
The Armenian Genocide (Armenian: Հայոց Ցեղասպանություն, translit.: Hayoc’ C’eġaspanowt’yown; Turkish: Ermeni Soykırımı) – also known as the Armenian Holocaust, the Armenian Massacres and, by Armenians, as the Great Crime (Մեծ Եղեռն, Mec Eġeṙn, Armenian pronunciation: [mɛts jɛˈʁɛrn]) – refers to the deliberate and systematic destruction (genocide) of the Armenian population of the Ottoman Empire during and just after World War I.[1] It was implemented through wholesale massacres and deportations, with the deportations consisting of forced marches under conditions designed to lead to the death of the deportees. The total number of resulting Armenian deaths is generally held to have been between one and one and a half million.[2][3][4][5][6] Other ethnic groups were similarly attacked by the Ottoman Empire during this period, including Assyrians and Greeks, and some scholars consider those events to be part of the same policy of extermination.[7][8][9]
It is widely acknowledged to have been one of the first modern genocides,[10][11][12] as scholars point to the systematic, organized manner in which the killings were carried out to eliminate the Armenians,[13] and it is the second most-studied case of genocide after the Holocaust.[14] The word genocide[15] was coined in order to describe these events.[16] [17]
The starting date of the genocide is conventionally held to be April 24, 1915, the day that Ottoman authorities arrested some 250 Armenian intellectuals and community leaders in Constantinople.[18][19] Thereafter, the Ottoman military uprooted Armenians from their homes and forced them to march for hundreds of miles, depriving them of food and water, to the desert of what is now Syria. Massacres were indiscriminate of age or gender, with rape and other sexual abuse commonplace.
The Republic of Turkey, the successor state of the Ottoman Empire, denies the word genocide is an accurate description of the events (see, Denial of the Armenian Genocide).[20] In recent years, it has faced repeated calls to accept the events as genocide. To date, twenty countries have officially recognized the events of the period as genocide, and most genocide scholars and historians accept this view.[21][22][23][24] The majority of Armenian diaspora communities were founded as a result of the Armenian genocide.
Many women and young girls threw themselves in the river, prefering to die that way than being raped.
It's difficult seeing these photos without having such a profound emotional connection to the event.
Dead bodies were being searched for jewelry and money to steal.
They stole their lives now they are stealing their jewelry.
My dear aghed ... I still missing words when i speak to you ... However... I want to tell you that i keep in my heart every words from you... every one of your actions....
As difficult as it was to view these photos, I appreciate you're making me aware of something that I knew nothing about. We don't like to look at what man (even ourselves) are capable of when we have zero compassion for others. I found this information on Wiki:

Also thank you for commenting on my message board, I visited your page and enjoyed your talent, you have great pieces.
My grandfather was shot in the head. They cut the beard of the priest of their village and then shot him.
These are strong images, so painful, I never new about the Armenian genocide, thanks for bringing to my attention.

Thank you for the add!
